... sigh

Sometimes you just miss out on waves. It's gonna happen. It just does. It's frustrating though. There's been bag-loads of swell on the Yorkshire coast lately, last week saw a good five days+ of the good stuff, and I missed the lot! Work commitments and major home improvements have meant that the boards have stayed well and truly 'bagged'. Not only that, but I've been unable to go on a trip to Thurso East with Chris from Doggerland, a trip that coincided perfectly with the Easter break (being a uni lecturer it's one of the only times I can escape outside of summer). This is made double-bad by the fact that I volunteered to keep him updated with wind and surf forecasts over the entirety of his trip, and although not looking classic by any means, he's definitely gonna be getting wet on a daily basis.

Anyway, here's a shot of Thurso East doing it's thing—just because. (Not sure who's grab this is—I snagged it from MSW—so if it's yours and you hate my guts, let me know and I'll remove it. Either that or you can have a credit, your choice.)

And below is the week ahead. There is swell, but it's all from the west. Not the best forecast, and one that's changing regular-soopa-fast. Also, I'm unsure how the place works on a we'zzerly but I'm pretty sure somewhere'll be getting thrumped.

Wednesday aft. looks the goods.
Ordnance Survey time.
