Fergal Smith's become a Numbskulls favourite. Bit of a no-brainer really, with the quality of the footage that's been doing the rounds. But, I suppose that's to be expected when you remember that he's in with film maker Mickey Smith — that guy's so on top of his game right now — but no, in this case I just like to think it's got more to do with the simple fact that the kid goes in REAL hard and surfs REAL good. Also, how good is it to see him paddling Teahupoo. I'm over watching ski-ins.
Here's some kind words from the dudes at Surfline, June 2011
"Irish surfer Fergal Smith arrived in Tahiti on the previous swell, 10 days ago. He was out at dawn every morning and was one of the paddle-in stand outs, picking all his waves perfectly."
This is an incredibly beautiful short film. (Edited by Mickey Smith)
