Even Cleethorpes got rideable(ish) surf today, all the way up the Humber estuary. Odd as it may seem (to those familiar with that part of the world), but Cleethorpes does occasionally get waves, but only on the biggest, most well travelled swells, and only about once every blue moon. That's one cracker of a swell stomping it's way down the North Sea. Not overly massive. Just immaculately well groomed.
(Disclaimer: I'm not including The Whale-Back (sand bar) in this. That gets daft waves – and they're reasonably regular visitors – but it's not what you'd call 'accessible')
